Welcome to Nurturing Touch Yoga!

We are based in the tranquility of coastal Ventura, California. Sessions are in-person—held in your own home, where you can simply arrive as you are. Or we can meet outdoors, surrounded by Ventura’s natural beauty. Select whichever setting best supports your experience.

Why Nurturing Touch Yoga?

The power of Nurturing Touch Yoga lies in awareness.
When caring hands draw attention to an area of your body, that simple acknowledgement invites the tissue to lengthen, the breath to widen, and the nervous system to trust. You’re not being “fixed”; you’re being noticed—and your body responds.

What might become available when every part of you is met with presence?

In each session, you are invited to:


  • Allow awareness to arrive—through easy, gentle movement, breath, and touch that reconnects you to your body’s wisdom

 

  • Let breath deepen naturally as previously “quiet” places in the belly and ribs are acknowledged


  • Notice what once-restricted movements become available as the breath expands with ease and spaciousness

 

  • Experience trauma release when the body is met with unwavering safety and respect
     
  • Let the act of receiving warmth reveal the comfort already within you


  • Ease aches, expand mobility, and reclaim fluid movement through mindful, supported exploration

About Nurturing Touch Yoga Founder Laura Singer

I’m Laura Singer, founder of Nurturing Touch Yoga.

For over 20 years, I’ve been helping people move through life with more ease, mobility, and connection to their bodies. So often we push through our days from a place of tension or depletion—without even realizing it. This practice offers something different: a chance to slow down, soften, and experience what it’s like to move from a grounded, nourished place within yourself.

Through breath, gentle movement, and hands-on support, you can begin to feel more freedom in your body, more steadiness under your feet, and more ease in everything you do—on and off the mat.

The foundation I bring to this work includes:

  • 500+ hours of yoga training 
  • 20+ years of experience teaching movement, yoga, and embodied awareness
  • Reiki, trauma-informed care, and a strong movement background
  • Personalized, one-on-one sessions with nurturing touch

This work lives at the intersection of yoga therapy, somatic healing, and therapeutic bodywork—not just yoga as most people know it.

Nurturing Touch Yoga is an invitation to come home to your body—gently, respectfully, and at your own pace. From this place, so much becomes possible.

How Do We Begin?

Whether you're new to yoga, already have a movement practice, or simply want to rest, there’s a place for you here. Sessions are personalized based on your needs, energy, and intentions for care:

Student A - New to Yoga

You’re curious and ready to begin. You’d like to be guided step-by-step through a gentle, customized yoga practice—with nurturing touch woven in to help you feel supported, safe, and at ease as you learn.

Student B - Experienced with Yoga

You’re familiar with yoga and would love a session that’s tailored to your body and current needs. You’ll be guided through a customized practice, enriched with nurturing touch to help deepen breath, bring awareness to blind spots, and support natural alignment.

Student C - Moving in Your Own Way

You already have a movement practice—yoga, dance, martial arts, or something uniquely your own. You’ll lead your own movement, while receiving nurturing touch to support your alignment, breath, and body’s capacity to unfold in its most authentic forms.

Student D - Rest with Touch

You’re here to rest. In this session, you’ll remain in one or a few fully supported restorative positions. As you soften into stillness, nurturing touch helps invite your body to feel safe, held, and deeply cared for.
